It’s pretty good but doesn’t support the front speakers (HP Spectre x360) which is a bummer cause I watch a lot of videos on it. Unfortunately, I didn’t check how well Ubuntu works on the laptop before I bought it. My plan was to side-load Ubuntu and use that mainly. My Mac is a refurbished 2015 MacBook Pro (top spec) and it cost me £100 more than the BASE model of the current Pro’s - refurbished all the way 🥳 That’s my opinion & i’m using my Mac in the evenings/weekends & it’s just super smooth compared to my latest Windows machine at work. You don’t have to be on Mac but things are just that much more easier & convenient when you’re on Mac. I’ve not had much experience of Ubuntu but the whole process of still sorting out drivers etc is why I disliked Windows.

I would recommend going for a refurbished Air from an authorised retailer. Especially the cost of Windows & the office package. I used to be in Windows before moving to MacOS doing IT Support at 1st & 2nd line level as well as building gaming machines but after using the Mac for a couple of weeks I couldn’t believe how much crap you have to put up with on Windows. I’m getting used to it but there’s so many little things that bug me about Windows that Just don’t make sense after being on Mac for years. Been on Mac for about 10+ years doing frontend & design & now, recently, started a new jobs that uses windows & I can’t believe how nice Mac is compared to the latest version of Windows.
